At CES 2019 Audio-Technica is introducing three premium audiophile headphones, the over-ear ATH-AP2000Ti, the new flagship in-ear ATH-CK2000Ti and the in-ear ATH-CM2000Ti model. All feature a host of Audio-Technica’s latest engineering and materials technologies to deliver extraordinary sonic accuracy and musical involvement. The ATH-AP2000Ti, ATH-CK2000Ti and ATH-CM2000Ti are on exhibit at CES 2019 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth 20860, South Hall Lower Level (January 8 – 11, 2019). “We created these new audiophile headphones to satisfy the most discerning listeners,” said Bob Peet, Audio-Technica U.S. Marketing Manager. “They allow the finest high-resolution music formats and players to be heard at their best, with outstanding resolution, imaging, spaciousness and dynamic range and a natural tonal balance.” The ATH-AP2000Ti, ATH-CK2000Ti and ATH-CM2000Ti all employ driver diaphragms with a DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating and a Permendur magnetic circuit, to deliver exceptional musical detail, ultra-fast transient response and powerful dynamic impact. For all three models, the drivers are mounted in lightweight yet rigid titanium housings to attenuate unwanted resonances for maximum sonic purity. All the headphones are Hi-Res Audio compatible with extended high-frequency response to beyond 40,000 Hz. All feature Audio-Technica’s A2DC (Audio-Designed Detachable Coaxial) jack that can be used with the included detachable 3.5 mm stereo mini-plug and 4.4 mm balanced mini-plug cables, the latter for use with headphone amplifiers and portable players with a balanced headphone output. Each ATH-AP2000Ti, ATH-CK2000Ti and ATH-CM2000Ti is individually identified by a laser-etched serial number. The closed-back ATH-AP2000Ti (SRP: US$1,250.00) utilizes large-diameter 53 mm drivers with a DLC coating and Permendur magnetic circuit for an impactful Hi-Res Audio listening experience with a wide 5 Hz – 50,000 Hz frequency response. The ATH-AP2000Ti features Audio-Technica’s Core Mount Technology (CMT), which positions the driver’s voice coil in the middle of its housing so that the acoustic space is balanced in both the front and the back of the driver. This configuration provides efficient airflow, which facilitates highly transparent midrange and high frequency reproduction. The driver housings employ the company’s Double Air Damping System (D.A.D.S.) for improved bass extension and detail. The ATH-AP2000Ti offers long-wearing comfort thanks to its soft, durable leather earpads. It comes with three detachable cables: a 3.9-foot and 9.8-foot cable with a 3.5 mm stereo mini-plug and a 3.9-foot cable with a 4.4 mm 5-pole balanced mini-plug. The ATH-AP2000Ti also includes a hard carrying case, 1/4-inch stereo adapter and cleaning cloth. Audio-Technica’s new top-of-the-line in-ear ATH-CK2000Ti (SRP: US$750.00) is the finest in-ear model ever offered by the company. It utilizes dual-phase push-pull DLC drivers of different diameters (9.8 mm and 8.8.mm) that face each other but are wired out of phase, causing them to move in parallel with each other. This configuration provides lower harmonic distortion along with improved bass control, output and sensitivity. In addition, the use of drivers with unequal diameters results in better high-frequency response (5 – 45,000 Hz). The compact, distinctively-styled ATH-CK2000Ti is supplied with two 3.9-foot detachable cables with 3.5 mm standard and 4.4 mm balanced plugs, XS, S, M and L-sized silicone earplugs, Comply™ foam eartips (size S, M and L), a hard carrying case and a cleaning cloth. The new ATH-CM2000Ti (SRP: US$400.00) delivers superlative Hi-Res audio reproduction in a compact, attractive in-ear design. It features 15.4 mm-diameter DLC drivers mounted in titanium housings for pure, natural, full-range audio reproduction from 10 – 45,000 Hz. The ATH-CM2000Ti comes with two 3.9-foot detachable cables with 3.5 mm standard and 4.4 mm balanced plugs, one set of earpads, a hard carrying case and a cleaning cloth. The Audio-Technica ATH-AP2000Ti, ATH-CK2000Ti and ATH-CM2000Ti will be available in January 2019.
