Audio-Technica mourns the passing of legendary producer, engineer and mixer Ed Cherney on October 22, 2019. Through his career, Cherney received four GRAMMY® awards, three Emmy Award nominations and five TEC Awards and was inducted into the TEC Awards Hall of Fame. A longtime friend of Audio-Technica, Cherney offered his expertise on many of the company’s flagship products going back to the 90s and personally contributed to the success of the 40 Series microphones. He was widely beloved, both personally and professionally, and will be missed by all corners of the industry.
