Question: Does A-T offer easy-to-use headsets for working from home and distance learning?
Answer: Since many businesses have implemented remote work schedules, and many schools continue to offer distance learning, there is a need for easy-to-use audio solutions. Audio-Technica has a long history of manufacturing solution-based products to fulfill audio needs. Some people use a professional microphone and headphones with their computers. However, to do so, other equipment is often required and the proper setup may take some prerequisite understanding of audio equipment. For those who prefer an easy-to-use solution, Audio-Technica offers the ATH-101USB and ATH-102USB headsets.
Both headsets are lightweight and designed for all-day comfort. The ATH-101USB is a single-ear headset with a 120-degree rotating boom microphone that may be worn on either side of the user’s head. Alternatively, the ATH-102USB has a dual-ear design (with the microphone positioned on the user’s left side) that offers high-quality stereo playback of music and games. Both models offer clear microphone audio for phone calls or virtual meeting applications. The microphone design helps to transmit clear audio by suppressing unwanted ambient sounds with a noise-cancelling bidirectional condenser microphone.
The in-line controls allow the user to adjust the volume as well as instantly mute the microphone without having to look away from the screen. Also, both models are treated with an antimicrobial agent on the headset, controller, plug, earpads, and windscreen to help keep the headset clean of certain bacteria, including E. coli and S. aureus.
Being able to easily set up your headset is also an important feature of the ATH-101USB and ATH-102USB. The integrated USB Type-A connector may be used with a variety of computers. Newer computers have a USB Type-Câ„¢ port to increase data transfer and save on space, and an adapter is included with each headset to allow you to connect to these ports as well. The plug-and-play connectivity means you can get started by simply plugging the headset into whichever USB port your computer has. No additional software is required, and many computers will auto-sense the headset and make the necessary changes to your input and output computer settings.
