Question: How do I change the 3D wing pads on the ATH-R70x headphones?

Answer: The ATH-R70x 3D wing headband pads may be easily replaced. Replacement pads are available through the Audio-Technica Parts Department at parts@atus.com. Once you receive the new pads, follow the instructions below to remove the old pads and install the replacement pads.

To remove the old 3D wing pads, pull at the center of each pad until it pops off.

Once the pad is removed, note the top and bottom tabs on the wings, which you will use when installing the replacement pads.

To install the new replacement pad, put the tapered end of the pad into the bottom tab of the wing. Next, put the wider end of the pad into the top tab.

Push in the center of the 3D wing pad to lock it in place.

Repeat this process for the other 3D wing pad.
