With the release of the ATGM2 Detachable Boom Microphone, we now offer a detachable microphone suitable for use with your ATH-M50x or other favorite headphones.

The ATGM2 features a hypercardioid microphone element on a flexible boom arm, which can be positioned for optimal vocal pickup while rejecting ambient noises from the rear and sides of the microphone. The boom’s small base permanently attaches to the headphone housing. It allows you to pivot the microphone up and down, and remove the boom arm when not in use. The 3.0 m microphone cable has an inline mute control and clips to the headphone’s cable with the included cable clips and hook-and-loop fastener. The microphone cable is terminated with a TRS 3.5 mm gold-plated mini-plug, and comes with a Y-type stereo headset adapter to plug both the mic and headphones into the TRRS port found on many Windows PCs and gaming consoles.

When mounting the ATGM2 base to your headphones with the included double-sided tape, press and hold the base to the headphones for 30 seconds to secure it in place. It may take upwards of 72 hours to reach the full bond strength, and it is recommended that you wait the full 72 hours before attaching the boom arm.
