Question: What are some features on the RF Venue DISTRO9 HDR?
Answer: Using an antenna distribution system with Audio-Technica wireless microphones has multiple benefits. Among them is the ability to use a single set of antennas to feed multiple wireless receivers, avoiding an antenna farm of multiple sets of whip antennas on the rear of the units. Audio-Technica distributes the RF Venue DISTRO4 as well as the DISTRO9 HDR. The DISTRO9 HDR has a few standout features that may be very beneficial to your wireless setup.
The DISTRO9 HDR has two sets of RF antenna inputs, which have an internal combiner to sum the signals to distribute to the connected wireless receivers. This may be helpful if you have two different rooms or locations where the wireless signal needs to be picked up. Keeping the RF true diversity intact with both an A and B antenna signal in both locations helps maintain the system stability. Additionally, the DISTRO9 HDR has nine outputs to connect up to nine wireless receivers. Having so many output connections to receivers, you can use this distribution system as a hub to connect to other distribution amplifiers, such as the DISTRO4, or use all DISTRO9 HDR distribution amplifiers to possibly connect up to eighty-one wireless receivers together! (Note: to use multiple wireless channels together, proper frequency coordination with tools such as the Audio-Technica Wireless Manager is required.)
You can also power your Audio-Technica wireless receivers, including the 2000 Series and 3000 Series, with the DC Cable Power Kit. This adapter has eight pigtails with barrel connectors to power up your connected receivers. Lastly, the DISTRO9 HDR is a huge space saver. Not only can you save space with the DC Cable Power Kit while removing your receivers’ individual power supplies, but, as mentioned above, you can connect up to nine receivers to the DISTRO9 HDR and its low-noise circuitry will deliver high-end RF performance.
