Audio Solutions Question of the Week: What Are the Features of the ATH-TWX9 Wireless Earbuds?

Question: What are the features of the ATH-TWX9 wireless earbuds?

Answer: The newly released ATH-TWX9 wireless earbuds are Audio-Technica’s premium truly wireless offering. Along with providing exceptional sound, the ATH-TWX9 also boasts multiple features, making it our most versatile pair of wireless headphones yet. In this article we will highlight the features of the ATH-TWX9.

Like all our truly wireless earbuds, the ATH-TWX9 comes with a charging case that allows for wire-free charging on the go. However, the ATH-TWX9’s charging case is also equipped with a UV LED designed to sanitize the earbuds. This is the first Audio-Technica charging case to incorporate this deep-UV LED sterilization system, which is activated once the earbuds inside and the case is closed. This system ensures that your earbuds remain clean and safe to use.*

The ATH-TWX9 supports multipoint pairing, allowing the user to connect to two devices simultaneously, and supports the following Bluetooth codecs: Qualcomm® aptX™ Adaptive audio, Qualcomm® aptX™ audio, AAC, and SBC.

The ATH-TWX9 is also compatible with Qualcomm® Snapdragon Sound™, which allows users to enjoy a premium sound experience in all situations and from all sources, including music, videos, games, and calls. Snapdragon Sound enhances the performance of the ATH-TWX9’s specially designed high-resolution drivers, as well as enhancing the user experience by providing much higher call quality and reduced latency when playing games or watching videos. Like the ATH-CKS50TW, the ATH-TWX9 also supports Sony 360 Reality Audio, which immerses the listener in a field of sound exactly as intended by artists and creators.

The ATH-TWX9 also works with the Audio-Technica CONNECT app, which allows the user to control and adjust the following:

  • Volume Adjustment Level
  • Audio Codecs
  • Ambience Control – Allows user to switch between noise-cancelling and hear-through functions.

    • The user is able to select a preset noise-cancelling mode (Home, Office/Study, On The Go, Train, Airplane) to match the noise-cancelling system with the user’s environment. The user is also able to choose between two noise-cancelling systems: a personalized noise-cancelling system (provides the best noise-cancelling performance based on an individual’s ear shape) or an optimized noise-cancelling system (measures the noise level of surrounding environment and automatically sets the optimal level of noise-cancelling).

  • Quick Hear-Through – Allows the user to adjust hear-through types or the music playback volume during quick hear-through.
  • Equalizer
  • Low Latency Mode
  • L/R Balance Adjustment
  • Sidetone – Lets the user hear their own voice during calls for more natural-sounding conversations.
  • Key Assign – User can set the function assigned to the multifunction button or touch sensors.
  • Touch Sensors – User can turn touch sensors on or off and set their sensitivity levels.
  • Voice Assistant
  • Ear Detection – Headphones’ ear detection sensors can be turned on or off.
  • Guide Sounds – Headphones’ voice guidance can be changed to a confirmation tone.
  • Connected Device Management – Allows user to switch connection by selecting a device from the list of previously paired Bluetooth devices.

If you have additional questions regarding the ATH-TWX9, please contact the Audio Solutions Team for further assistance.

* The system is more than 99% effective against E. coli and bacteriophage viruses, and more than 90% effective against Staphylococcus aureus, but it is not effective against all bacteria and viruses. The effectiveness against the novel coronavirus has not been verified.
