Audio Solutions Question of the Week: What Are the Key Features of the ATH-CKS50TW Wireless Earbuds?

Question: What are the key features of the ATH-CKS50TW wireless earbuds?

Answer: With the newly released ATH-CKS50TW, we felt it would be helpful to highlight the key features of these wireless earbuds to show what separates them from our other current offerings. The ATH-CKS50TW earbuds boast a few first-time features for Audio-Technica wireless headphones, and a few more traditional features, making the ATH-CKS50TW a very versatile model.

First, we must highlight the battery life, as the ATH-CKS50TW is rated for 20 hours of use on a single charge, and up to 50 hours with the charging case (time may vary depending on usage conditions). This puts the ATH-CKS50TW at the top of the class for battery life when compared to other truly wireless earbuds. These earbuds also feature a quick-charge function that gives you up to 90 minutes of playback time from a 10-minute charge.

The ATH-CKS50TW earbuds sport newly developed 9 mm drivers to provide the rich, deep bass our users have come to know from our Solid Bass line of headphones. The earbuds also use Qualcomm® cVc™ Generation 8.0 technology for excellent call quality and are IPX4 water resistant, making them great for anything from video calls to exercising. The ATH-CKS50TW features active noise-cancelling that can be enabled via a button on the left earbud to block out unwanted noise. It also has a hear-through function that can be activated by a press of a button on the right earbud, to let you momentarily hear your surroundings before returning completely to your music or video.

The ATH-CKS50TW uses the Qualcomm aptXâ„¢ Bluetooth technology and is able to support the following Bluetooth codecs: aptX Adaptive audio, aptX audio, AAC, and SBC. This is the first pair of wireless Audio-Technica headphones to utilize aptX Adaptive audio, which allows dynamic bit rate (up to 24-bit) and latency adaption to maintain quality and stability in challenging RF environments. The earbuds have built-in independent antennas to allow each earbud to be used independently, and they utilize Qualcomm TrueWirelessâ„¢ Mirroring technology to allow independent transmission to both the left and right earbuds to reduce sound interruptions and delays on all devices.

Like many of our wireless headphones, the ATH-CKS50TW earbuds are also supported by the A-T Connect app. When using the A-T Connect app, you can unlock the true potential of these headphones by adjusting the equalization and balance, enabling low latency mode, changing the Bluetooth codec, and tapping into many more features. In addition to the useful features of the A-T Connect app, the ATH-CKS50TW is also Audio-Technica’s first pair of wireless headphones to support Sony 360 Reality Audio. This new format allows listeners to fully experience the immersive worlds of compatible surround-sound creations.
